Clear terms, so you know what to expect.
Good service starts with clarity, respect and making it easier for people to know what to expect. These Terms set out how we work, what you can expect from us and what we ask of you.
1About us
Think Like a Customer Ja, Limited is a Jamaican company focused on customer experience, service culture and practical products, tools and services that encourage people to think differently about how we work, interact and serve.
It’s a People Ting is our service store, where we offer service-related products, tools and resources in different formats.
Our products and services may include physical games and tools; digital products and resources; customer experience and service-related products; team and family engagement products; and other products and services introduced from time to time.
Our current products include SCREEN BREAK™, including SCREEN BREAK: Jamaican Family Link Up Game and SCREEN BREAK: Workplace Edition — The Ripple Effect.
2Using our website
You may use this website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes; interfere with its operation or security; attempt unauthorised access; copy substantial portions of website content for commercial use without permission; or use our content in a way that falsely suggests an affiliation, endorsement or partnership with TLCJa.
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the website from time to time as our business develops.
3Our products & services
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, colours, dimensions, quantities, pricing and other information displayed on our website are accurate and clear.
Some products are printed or produced in batches, and colours may appear differently depending on lighting, photography and the device used to view them. Minor variations may therefore occur.
Where a product has specific specifications, quantities, features or edition details, the information displayed on the relevant product page at the time of purchase will apply.
We reserve the right to correct genuine errors in product descriptions, pricing or availability.
4Prices & payment
Prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the relevant product or checkout page. Prices may change from time to time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted and confirmed, except where an obvious pricing or listing error has occurred.
Payment must be completed using the payment method or methods made available at checkout or otherwise communicated by us. An order is considered paid once the required payment has been successfully received.
Deposits and pre-orders
Some products may be offered through a deposit or pre-order arrangement. Where this applies, we will communicate the deposit amount, total purchase price, balance due, expected fulfilment timeframe and specific terms applicable to that offer.
A deposit may reserve a product subject to availability and the terms communicated at the time of purchase.
If a balance is not paid within the agreed timeframe, we will contact you to discuss the available options. Where applicable, a reserved product may be released for sale to another customer.
5Placing an order
When you place an order, you are requesting to purchase the product or service shown on our website. We will provide an order confirmation or other acknowledgement where applicable.
An order may be declined or cancelled where the product is unavailable; there is an obvious pricing or product description error; payment has not been successfully received; we are unable to fulfil the order; or circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent fulfilment.
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will communicate with you regarding the applicable refund or other resolution.
6Pre-orders & limited batches
Some products may be offered as pre-orders or limited production batches.
Where applicable, the product page or promotional material will identify the product as a pre-order or limited batch and provide an expected fulfilment timeframe.
Estimated fulfilment dates are provided in good faith and may change because of circumstances such as production, printing, supplier or shipping delays.
If there is a significant change to the expected timeframe, we will communicate with affected customers and explain the available options.
7Delivery & collection
Available delivery and collection options will be stated on the relevant product page or communicated at the time of purchase. Our standard turnaround is 5-7 business days from the date your payment reaches us, because every box is printed to order.
Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary based on factors including your location, courier availability, traffic or weather, public holidays, incorrect or incomplete delivery information, and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Our courier partners
Your order remains important to us even after it leaves our hands.
While deliveries are carried out by our courier partners, we’re still here to help. If something goes wrong in transit, contact us and we’ll assist with tracking, follow-up and working toward a resolution.
We cannot guarantee the actions or delivery timelines of an independent courier, but we will make reasonable efforts to assist you when a delivery issue arises.
Incorrect delivery information
Please check your delivery information carefully before submitting your order. If an order cannot be delivered because incorrect or incomplete information was provided, an additional delivery charge may apply if another delivery attempt is required.
8Checking your order
Please check your order as soon as reasonably possible after receiving it.
If your product is damaged, defective, missing components, materially different from what you ordered, or incomplete, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details and, where appropriate, photographs of the issue.
We’ll review what happened and work with you to determine an appropriate resolution. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a replacement, refund or another appropriate resolution.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable Jamaican law.
9Returns & change of mind
Every SCREEN BREAK box is printed to order. Your copy is produced specifically for you once your payment reaches us, which is why we are not able to accept change-of-mind returns after production has begun.
We would rather help you get it right the first time. If you are unsure which edition suits your family, your team or your event, contact us before you order and we will talk it through with you.
This does not affect your position if something is wrong with the product. Where a product is damaged, defective, missing components, materially different from what you ordered or otherwise does not meet applicable requirements, section 8 applies and we will work with you toward a replacement, refund or another appropriate resolution.
Certain products may have different return conditions. Where this applies, those conditions will be communicated on the relevant product page before purchase.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable Jamaican law.
10Digital products
Digital products may be delivered by download, email, access link or another electronic method.
Because digital products can be accessed or downloaded electronically, change-of-mind returns may not be available once the product has been supplied or accessed, subject to any rights provided by applicable law.
If a digital product is inaccessible, defective or materially different from what you purchased, please contact us. We’ll review the issue and work with you toward an appropriate resolution.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, digital products are provided for the use described on the relevant product page and may not be shared, copied, redistributed or resold.
11Refunds
If a refund is approved, we will let you know how the refund will be processed and the expected timeframe. Where possible, refunds will be made using the original payment method.
For returns or refunds, we may request reasonable proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation or receipt.
Where a product is defective, damaged, materially different from what was ordered or otherwise does not meet applicable requirements, please contact us so that we can review the situation and determine an appropriate resolution.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable Jamaican law.
12Cancelling an order
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
We’ll make reasonable efforts to accommodate cancellation requests before an order has been prepared for dispatch or production.
Once an order has been dispatched, our normal process may apply.
For personalised, customised or specially produced products, cancellation may not be possible once production has begun, subject to applicable rights.

16Sharing SCREEN BREAK online
We love seeing SCREEN BREAK being used.
You’re welcome to share your own photographs and videos of your SCREEN BREAK experience.

17Customer photos, reviews & testimonials
If you leave a review on our website, or send us photographs, videos, reviews or testimonials about your experience with our products, we may ask for your permission to feature them on our website, social media or other marketing channels.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, payment providers, courier services or other platforms.
These third parties operate independently from TLCJa and may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Where you use a third-party service, you may also be subject to that provider’s terms.

We may collect personal information necessary to process orders, communicate with customers, provide our products and services, and operate our website.
We aim to handle your information responsibly and transparently.
Our collection, use, storage and handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
20Events outside our reasonable control
Sometimes circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect our ability to fulfil an order or provide a service.
These may include severe weather, natural disasters, major transportation disruptions, supplier or production delays, power or telecommunications failures, or other circumstances that we could not reasonably prevent.
Where this occurs, we’ll communicate with affected customers and make reasonable efforts to fulfil the order or provide an appropriate resolution.
21Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions as our website, products and services develop.
The version applicable to your purchase will generally be the version available at the time you place your order, subject to applicable law.
The date at the top of this page will indicate when the Terms were last updated.
22Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica.
Any dispute relating to these Terms, our products or services will be addressed in accordance with applicable Jamaican law and any applicable dispute-resolution processes.
