About us

We are all connected through service.

Think Like a Customer, Ja (TLCJa) is a social movement and customer experience initiative dedicated to reshaping how Jamaicans perceive and deliver service.

Think like a customer JA — From me to we: service excellence begins with us
Who we are

A movement first. A practice that makes it practical.

At the heart of the movement is a simple belief: we are all connected through the shared experience of being both customers and service providers.

TLCJa creates the conversations, insights and practical tools that help us see service differently, feel empowered to collaborate, and take action. We explore the realities behind service: people, systems, culture, communication and context.

Why this matters

Creating better service experiences, from the inside out.

Every brand makes a promise. Every day, somebody experiences whether that promise was kept. Service is part of how we work, how we do business and how we move through everyday life — so better service is everybody’s business.

What we believe

Who is behind TLCJa

Shafae Bloomfield, Founder

Over the past decade, Shafae Bloomfield has worked in service-driven environments where what happens behind the scenes directly shapes what customers experience.

Her professional-services career included managing teams supporting U.S. clients, working across stakeholder relationships, service delivery, performance management and operational improvement. She developed service standards and accountability systems, helped shape role clarity and processes, managed onboarding and transitions, and translated stakeholder feedback into practical improvements in delivery.

Her later work expanded into organizational transformation; assessing roles, processes, skills and capacity to help determine how work could be distributed differently across teams and jurisdictions. This included developing business cases, mapping processes and responsibilities, identifying future capability needs, and exploring opportunities to use technology and AI to improve how work gets done.

But there is another perspective Shafae brings to service: the perspective of the customer.

Having spent years working inside organizations and helping people deliver the service, she now brings that experience together with a simple but often overlooked idea: we are all customers too.

We know what it feels like to wait, to be ignored, to have to repeat ourselves, to feel valued, to feel confused, and to have someone make an experience easier than expected. Those experiences shape how we think about businesses, and they also give us insight into the experiences we create for others.

TLCJa brings these perspectives together. It connects how a business operates, how its people work, what it promises, and what customers ultimately experience.

Shafae’s approach is practical: understand what is happening, see the experience through the customer’s eyes, identify where the gaps are, and turn those insights into action. That thinking comes to life through TLCJa’s advisory work, service assessments, and growing collection of practical tools and products — created to help businesses and individuals understand their role in service and create better experiences.

Every business has a service story.
Every person has a role in shaping it.

Let’s connect.

Whether you want to work with TLCJa, collaborate on a story or bring the conversation to your team, we would love to hear from you.
